Study Circle Meeting on Registration & Taxation of Trusts & Societies
Tax Bar Association, Guwahati organized a study circle meeting at Hotel Prag Continental, Guwahati on 13 March, 2021 on the topics “Registration & Taxation of Trusts & Societies”.
Chairman of Study Circle Committee CA Vivek Jalan started the meeting with his welcome address. The meeting was chaired by the President of the Association CA Gopal Singhania. In his address, CA Singhania informed about the activities undertaken by the Association in the recent past and future activities. He expressed hope that this meeting would help the participants to understand the proposed changes in Registration & Taxation of Trusts & Societies.
CA Harish Kumar Agrawala enlightened the meeting with power point presentation on “Taxation of Trusts & Societies”. CA Himanshu Chowkhani explained “Registration of Trusts & Societies” with his power point presentation. Both the speakers brilliantly presented their respective topics.
More than 70 chartered accountants, company secretaries, cost accountants, advocates, tax consultants and others participated in the meeting. The participants actively participated in the question answers session in which the speakers answered the queries of the members. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by the Secretary CS Amit Pareek.
