Study Circle Meeting on Union Budget, 2021 & Recent Changes in GST
Tax Bar Association, Guwahati organized a study circle meeting at The Ornate Hotel, Guwahati on 20 February, 2021 on the topics “Union Budget 2021 & Recent Changes in GST”.
Vice President of the Association CA Manoj Kumar Jain started the meeting with his welcome address. The meeting was chaired by the President of the Association CA Gopal Singhania. In his address, CA Singhania informed about the activities undertaken by the Association in the recent past and future activities. He further added that this was the first physical meeting after a gap of almost one year due to Corona. He expressed hope that this meeting would help the participants to understand the Budget proposals and recent changes in GST Laws.
CA Anil Kumar Agarwala enlightened the meeting with power point presentation on “Income Tax proposals in Union Budget 2021”. CA Vivek Jain explained the “GST proposals in Union Budget 2021, other recent changes in GST Laws and GST Annual Return & Audit for the year 2019-20” with his power point presentation. Both the speakers brilliantly presented their respective topics.
More than 50 chartered accountants, company secretaries, cost accountants, advocates and tax consultants participated in the meeting. The participants actively participated in the question answers session in which the speakers answered the queries of the members. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by the Secretary CS Amit Pareek.
